Privacy Policy

1. Summary

ABDiff is a local file comparison and merge app. Your files are processed on your Mac. ABDiff does not operate a backend service and does not upload your file contents to the developer.

2. Data We Process

• Files and folders you open: used to render diffs/merges in the app.
• File access permissions: macOS security-scoped bookmarks for folders you explicitly grant in Settings.
• App preferences: local settings such as view options and defaults.

ABDiff does not create user accounts and does not require personal profile data.

3. Data We Do Not Collect

• No analytics or telemetry sent to developer servers.
• No advertising identifiers.
• No sale of personal data.
• No cloud storage of your files by ABDiff.

4. Network Use

ABDiff does not use a developer backend to process your documents. Any operating-system level services (for example, App Store distribution, updates, or Apple crash reporting if enabled by the user) are provided by Apple under Apple's terms.

5. Retention and Deletion

Data used by ABDiff remains on your device. You can remove stored preferences and granted folder access in the app settings, and you can remove all local app data by uninstalling the app.

6. Security

ABDiff runs in the macOS app sandbox and follows Apple platform security mechanisms for file access and code signing.

7. Children

ABDiff is not directed to children under 13, and the developer does not knowingly collect personal data from children.

8. Changes to This Policy

This policy may be updated when app behavior changes. The latest version will be published with the app listing.
